ABOUT
You may remember Croc E supporting Pops Mohamed and Dave Reynolds at the Blue Bird Garage in 2016 well this Sunday this event marks the return of croc E to Cape Town. The first time in eight years!
Born an April fool, he first started as a drummer, then became a poet and now is a fully fledged guitar wielding songster. The croc has lived more than half his life in Southern Africa but currently bases himself on Turtle Island aka Canada.
Slow Life presents an evening of Croc’s live performance and a cinematic experience featuring four of his music poem films. All collaborations with local and international filmmakers - Ross Campbell (SA), Dr. Mojo (SA), Stephan Kanduth (Austria) and Christopher McGruer (Canada)
The highlight of the evening will be the gala premiere of Emergency Mercy (2024). The recent international award winning Devious Honesty (2023) will be screened alongside Vote Poetry for President(2016) and Shrink Bigger (2021).
The vision for the filmic part of this event was informed by a principle while filming, namely that each film offer a cinematic experience
