WINE FARMS

Bellevue’s story is one of bold decisions and forward thinking. When Pieter Krige (P.K.) Morkel couldn’t find Gamay vines in 1953, he embraced a pioneering South African cultivar: Pinotage. This decision not only shaped Bellevue’s identity but also contributed to the global recognition of Pinotage as a uniquely South African wine.

Lynx is ideally situated between Stellenbosch (15 minutes), Paarl (15 minutes) and Franschhoek (10 minutes) at the foothills of the Klein Drakenstein Mountains.
Our boutique farm is one of the smaller wineries in the village.
We are an individually owned and operated business that does most of the winemaking by hand, giving our guests a very private experience with a variety of fascinating wines at the tasting.

Freshness in our final wine is front of mind when making picking decisions. We like to handle the grapes as gently as possible as we guide the berries from bunch to barrel. Extended maturation on lees not only enhances complexity, but also naturally protects the wine from oxidation while aging in barrel. We also love whole bunch fermentations and the “crunch” it brings the wine’s character. We aim for purity of fruit, undeniable luminosity and a wine that is elegant, honest and undeniably moreish.

Home of South African Vermentino
Ayama is proud to introduce Vermentino, marking a new chapter in the South African wine industry.
Honouring our Italian roots, we brought this authentic Italian cultivar to the unique terroir of the Voor Paardeberg. This historical milestone celebrates the fusion of two countries, creating a wine experience that’s truly one of a kind.

In 2006, Emma and Jeremy Borg founded Painted Wolf Wines with two heartfelt goals: to support conservation efforts for endangered African wild dogs and to pursue Jeremy’s passion for winemaking. Through determination, flair, and collaborations with remarkable friends, Painted Wolf Wines has grown into a leading producer of award-winning wines.
With three distinctive ranges, a spirit of innovation, and a commitment to conservation, we’ve donated over R4 million to African wild dog and related projects.
We focus on crafting unique, high-quality wines that embody South Africa’s character, with a spotlight on Chenin Blanc, Pinotage, and Cape blends. Additionally, we produce exceptional Shiraz and Rhône varietals, sourcing premium grapes from carefully selected vineyards. Recognized with numerous local and international accolades, Painted Wolf Wines delivers quality and purpose in every bottle.

Spanning 24 hectares, our vineyards are home to seven distinct varietals. Among the whites, Chenin Blanc takes centre stage, complemented by Clairette Blanche and Viura. Our reds include Syrah, Carignan, Pinotage, and Tinta Barocca, showcasing the diversity and richness of our estate.

Rising above the tranquil town of Franschhoek, Wildeberg is a wild and untamed slice of mountain terrain. While the region has a winemaking legacy spanning 350 years, planting vines on this rugged hillside was deemed unthinkable—until a daring group of visionaries decided to defy tradition and embrace the challenge.
Perched on the south-eastern edge of the Cape's historic Coastal Region, Wildeberg’s property stretches over the mountain, where the Coastal Region transitions to the baboon-traveled road to Grabouw and the broader Western Cape. It’s a place where the spirit of adventure meets the art of winemaking.

Nestled at the foot of the lush Groenberg, or Emerald Hill, in Wellington, Wolvenhoek Vineyards is a family-owned farm and proud member of the Old Vine Project. Our 38 to 47-year-old vineyards produce both easy-drinking and premium wines that celebrate the unique terroir of this region.
The Groenberg shields our vines from the fierce, wolf-like winds sweeping through the mountains, creating a cooler microclimate in Wellington’s typically hot conditions. This remarkable environment highlights the character of the Groenberg and showcases the exceptional potential of Wellington's old vines.

We are a winemaker-driven, family business and we believe the concept of “value” is as important when enjoying an everyday wine as it is when tasting something rare and very expensive. We take our winecraft very seriously, but we don’t take ourselves too seriously. We believe in having fun, but we also believe in standing up for the underdog and doing the right thing. We believe the best wine always portrays the hallmarks of authenticity and honesty. We believe wine should add joy to life.
